Genius Scanners entered the computer market long ago and almost immediately became good alternative to pricey devices of such famous giants as AGFA, EPSON, HP, and UMAX. But once dramatic downhill resulted in shaky maintaining of the gained success in the future, while competitors kept improving both their products’ software and hardware. Streamlined scanner body with the unpronounceable name is made of grey plastic. At the bottom of the device there’s a transport lock that protects the scanning carriage from mechanical damage. The scanner kit includes an external plug-in for scanning transparent originals (35-mm slides and film).
Connectors are located on the scanner black plate.
The scanner is equipped with a CCD-matrix that provides optical resolution of 2400 dpi and a white cold cathode fluorescent lamp.
